The atomic symbol for seaborgium is Sg. It has an atomic number of 106, and an atomic mass of 266.
Common Isotopes
It only has one known isotope of it which is seaborgium- 263. This was actually the first type of the element made but later a more stable version, Seaborgium-271 was discovered.
Glenn Seaborg discovered this atom, he was also the only person to have an element named after him while he was still alive. He discovered the element by bombarding atoms californium with ions of oxygen. He used a super heavy ion linear accelerator to do this.
Boiling and Melting point
It is not know what it's boiling and melting point is yet.
Physical and Chemical Properties
Little is known about Seaborgium because only a few atoms of it have ever been made. But some properties of it include that it is a metal, is solid at room temperature, it is radioactive, man made, has a half life of about 2.4 seconds, and decays into Rutherfordium.
Common uses and Period
Since only a few atoms of it have ever been made there are no known uses for it yet. It's period is seven, and doesn't have a group name.
